Howard Jones Brings Uplifting Synth-pop Hits to North America

Synth-pop pioneer Howard Jones is returning to North America to spread positivity. He has curated the Things Can Only Get Better Tour, bringing his uplifting hits to the United States and Canada.

Kicking off on July 19, 2026, the Things Can Only Get Better Tour features a stellar bill. Howard Jones will perform alongside fellow British greats Wang Chung, The English Beat, and Modern English. Hosted by Richard Blade, the trek visits Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin, and Toronto.

Separately, Jones has a UK festival appearance. On August 30, 2026, he will headline the Electric Summer festival in Taunton with Heaven 17 and Blancmange.

Howard Jones, born 23 February 1955 in Hythe, Hampshire, England, is a synth-pop and new wave musician known for anthemic ’80s hits like “New Song”, “What Is Love?”, “Things Can Only Get Better”, “No One Is To Blame”. His debut album *Human’s Lib* went No. 1 in the UK. In May 2025 he released *Piano Composed* in two versions—*Ivory* (vinyl) and *Spirio* (CD)—featuring ten piano-based compositions. He toured North America in 2026 on his “Things Can Only Get Better” tour. Ian nominated for major awards, his songs have become staple ’80s pop classics.
